Travel through Al Safa North and South within an hour? You're only charged once. Same applies to Al Mamzar North & South.

Fines

Insufficient balance fine is AED 50 per passage after a 5-day grace period. Passing without a tag is AED 100 fine.

On weekdays (Mon-Sat), peak hours are 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. During these times, the toll is AED 6 per gate.
No, Salik is not free on Sundays, but it operates at a flat off-peak rate of AED 4 per gate throughout the day, except for 1 AM to 6 AM which is free.
You can use alternative routes like Al Khail Road (E44) - though Business Bay Crossing now has a gate, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road (E311), and Emirates Road (E611).
If you pass through Al Safa North and South gates (or Al Mamzar North and South) within one hour in the same direction, you are charged only once.
